Trail Condition Update
(Updated Thursday 1/26 at 10:18 pm) -
As of yesterday, all of the trails in Dickinson County had been groomed. The warm temperatures today did melt quite a bit of snow, but there are still some decent groomed ditches to ride in. Cross your fingers for more snow tomorrow (Friday)! Check back for more updates as to where the groomer has been and will be going in the next few days.
The DNR has issued a warning about riding on the lakes and the condition of the ice. For that report, please click here .

Due to our Winter Games and Vintage Race events being dependent on the weather, we have scheduled additional Wednesday meetings throughout the month of January in order to revise plans accordingly.
Meetings are open to all snowmobile
enthusiasts and are held the second
Wednesday of every month year round.
We rotate meeting locations to support
our trail map sponsors.

January 28, 2012 - U of O Winter Games Fun Run
Registration from 9-11 am in Polaris Tent at Polaris Industries
Hwy 9 & 71 (southwest of Walmart in Spirit Lake) - this will be a modified route from previous years with no lake riding or stops due to poor ice conditions.
January 28, 2012 - Polaris Youth Demo Track 10 am - 2 pm
Located at Polaris Industries and open to ages 6-12, kids must be accompanied by an adult. Polaris will provide youth sleds and helmets. No pre-registration, first come first serve.

The Dickinson County SnowHawks Winter Games Fun Run will happen with a few changes from previous years.
Due to ice conditions on the lake, the fun run headquarters has been moved to Polaris Industries in Spirit Lake. The run will start and end at Polaris and a groomed route map will be provided to all registrants that does not include lake riding or stops.

4th Annual Iowa Great Lakes Snowmobile Vintage Drag Races
February 5, 2011 - Racing starts at 11 am
Racers can register online before February 3.
(SEE NOTE BELOW BEFORE CLICKING ON REGISTER ONLINE BUTTON)
On-site registration will be held on Friday, February 4 from 7-9 pm at Okoboji Boat Works Fish Shack or Saturday, February 5 from 8-10 am. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS!
To register online (Please read through all instructions before clicking the button):
1. Click on Register Online button.
2. Click on "Click here for your free account" to get started.
3. Enter your contact information.
4. List all the sleds you plan to enter (must enter sleds first before you can register for classes)
5. Select the race, then the classes you want to run.
6. Check out, pay online for your classes and you're registered!
NOTE WHEN CHECKING OUT: Current members of the Dickinson County SnowHawks have already paid membership and are covered under insurance. When given the option of "Annual Membership Fee" or "One-Time Membership Fee", select the annual one if you are a current member. If you are not a member of the club, please select the "One-Time Membership Fee" option.

Trails 
Our Trails.
Dickinson County has nearly 100 miles of trails that criss-cross the county. Groomed trails include ditches along primary and secondary roads, and portions of the bike trail. Trails are signed annually by the club.
The goal of the Dickinson County SnowHawks is to also groom areas that connect with neighboring counry trails as well as grooming to the Minnesota border to connect with the expansive Minnesota trail system.
New trail maps are in the process of being printed for the 2010-2011 season. Check back here for the latest trail map and any trail additions/changes made during the season.
